Located in Fernandina Beach, FL, the Multi-Craft Mechanic – Electrician responsibilities include the safe installation, troubleshooting, repair, rebuilding [and basic failure analysis] of electrical systems throughout the mill. Must display personal initiative in meeting the training requirements of the team, and the acceptance of specific training to improve individual industrial skills.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Must have two (2) years of industrial maintenance experience.

  • Must be proficient in the base skill of electrical mechanic and qualified to perform all tasks associated with troubleshooting, repairing or replacement of mill equipment. This includes being able to draft, read and understand drawings, specifications, and parts list.

  • Must have completed an electrical apprentice program, be certified, or have at least 5 years equivalent experience as a Journeyman.

  • Must become functional in instrumentation trade and two (2) additional base skills (pipefitting, millwright, welding, machinist, or carpentry).

  • Must pass and maintain all medical and fit-testing requirements for respiratory equipment.

  • Must possess and be able to use a complete set of mechanical tools, including basic knowledge of precision maintenance tools such as alignment.

  • Must be available and willing to work rotating shifts.

  • May be required to pass bench testing for knowledge verification.

  • Computer literacy, strong communication skills and team player.
