Mayo Clinic Medicare Analyst in Jacksonville, Florida
The position will assume responsibility for the Medicare Part A government reimbursement and compliance activities across the Mayo Clinic Florida campus. Researches and analyzes new and existing Medicare Part A and B, and other government regulations and policies to identify practice strategies and ensure compliance. Performs Medicare cost reporting responsibilities, government reporting responsibilities, impact analyses, budgeting, contractual allowance and compliance analyses. Position will interact with administration, physician leadership, accounting, revenue cycle, compliance office, and other operational personnel throughout Mayo Clinic. Experience with Medical Education and Organ Acquisition Cost reimbursement is preferred.
Master's degree in healthcare, business administration, finance, or accounting, and/or CPA with two years of experience in Medicare reimbursement or Bachelor's degree with five years of Medicare reimbursement related experience. Previous external consulting or auditing experience, working with a hospital system, integrated delivery system or Medicare contractor is desirable. Requires a high level of administrative skills. Qualified candidate needs to have outstanding communication skills and demonstrate excellent team building skills, be assertive, highly motivated, have a positive attitude, and be able to work independently.
Travel to other Mayo Clinic and Mayo Clinic Health Systems sites will be required. Detailed knowledge of cost reporting software, PC applications, financial modeling, Medicare and other government regulations.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $2,947.20, based on a full-time position.
