Located in Jacksonville, FL, the Sr. Auditor is responsible for performing audits at all Rayonier Advanced Materials locations as instructed by the Vice President, Internal Audit. This is a developmental position, with the objective of rotation into the Finance organization in 2-3 years. Perform financial and operational audits, sometimes independently and sometimes as part of a team. Gather and analyze data as necessary to accomplish audit objectives in a timely manner. Execute audit programs thoroughly and diligently and perform other audit tests utilizing professional judgment, considering control objectives and risks. Develop and foster positive working relationships, focusing on the identification of solutions to risks and issues. Clearly communicate issues and pursue effective and timely resolution. Gain an increasing understanding of Rayonier Advanced Materials businesses, organization, systems and processes, policies and procedures, accounting guidelines, and personnel.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related curriculum.

  • Minimum of 2 years of audit or financial experience, preferably with a major accounting firm, or with a public company.

  • Must have a sound understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, and solid experience in audit procedures and audit documentation.

  • Must have strong analytical skills and business acumen; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong computer skills (experience with automated audit techniques is desirable); and effective interpersonal skills.

  • CPA, CIA or similar certification required.
